Making a purchase

At Home to Roost we aim to make a purchase with us as easy as possible. Once you have decided what to purchase click on the item which will then add it to your shopping basket. The items will stay in your basket unless you delete them or go through to the checkout to pay. Delivery charges will be added at this point. (See below) We currently use Pay pal a secure payment provider .Pay pal are a world leader in online payments .Pay pal accepts all major debit and credit cards(and you don’t have to have a pay pal account to do this.)We also accept cheques, but unfortunately we cannot send out the goods until it has cleared and so this may delay your order. Please write your contact details on the back of the cheque.

We will despatch your orders as soon as possible normally within 7 working days however please allow up to 28 days. We will always contact you if we anticipate a delay or the item is out of stock to see if you still wish to proceed with the order. If you require an order urgently please contact us and we will do our best to get it to you next day. This may incur an extra charge. All deliveries require a signature. Customers that request not to do this do so at their own risk. We cannot be held responsible for parcels that go missing in these circumstances.

If there is nobody to receive the delivery the courier will leave a card with a contact telephone no. If the courier fails to deliver the order after repeated attempts the parcel will be returned to us. Any additional charge we may incur if the parcel is returned to us will be deducted from a refund alongside the original delivery cost.

Delivery charges

Please note that we currently only deliver within the mainland UK only.

We are happy to accept overseas orders, please contact us for a price on postage and packaging as prices depend on weight and destination.

Customers who require delivery for a certain date should phone us to ensure this is possible.

If you require delivery within our Rh20 postal code area please speak to us before you place your order and we will see if we can deliver it to you free of charge.

Orders up to the value of £6 will be charged at £3.

Orders over £6.00 will be charged at £4.95.

In the case of an extremely heavy parcel we reserve the right to contact you regarding delivery.

We are currently reviewing our delivery charges to try and make them as fair as possible but until we notify you otherwise the above conditions apply.

Packaging

We try and reuse packaging as much as possible and so please don’t be alarmed if it does not arrive in a brand new box. If the item is a gift you can request new packaging. We also offer a gift wrapping service for an additional £2.75 per parcel. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason you may return the item for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. Please notify us if you intend to do this. Please request proof of postage. You will need to return the parcel at your own expense, packaged securely.

Faulty Goods

All items are carefully inspected before they are sent out to you. If a product arrives faulty please contact us immediately and we will contact you to discuss the next course of action. Every care has been taken to ensure that descriptions and measurements are correct however slight variations in dimensions may occur...

Please note that due to the rustic and often purposely distressed handmade nature of the goods we supply we cannot accept responsibility for any variations in colour or patterns. You statutory rights will not be affected.

Security

As I mentioned earlier we use Pay pal for your secure payments and so it is extremely safe. At the point you are requested to give your card details you will see a padlock icon in the status bar. This indicates that you are using a secure payment system and all of the numbers are encrypted and so we do not get to see them. We also do not disclose your personal details to any other company or individuals.
